Getting Started
This blog will be the my journal as I progress through creating a concept for an update to Shijin. I will likely call it Poetica or some other name I decide on later. This blog will likely last only until the process is complete.
I'm not doing this becuase I'm trying to be a pain. I'm not doing this becuase I'm one of those people who can't do anything at dinner but talk about the typeface they like or hate.
It is not the usual practice for a designer to show unfinished work, as it invites premature input and fixation on temporary components which would likely be changed anyway. Feedback on general ideas and concepts is welcome at all times. Please save comments about kerning 'till they are really relevant.
